August 20, 2018 – Week 99!

Image
WHAT. Week 99! To start off, this Sunday was a Sunday of finding! We were able to find 8 new investigators that day, which was awesome! The best part is that many of them committed to attending church next Sunday, and also to going to an activity in the ward that we'll be having on Wednesday. We are really working hard so that our investigators can progress. We didn't have any from our attendance goal actually come to church, which made us sad, but we've made plans to have more of a frequent contact with those who have plans to attend, and especially those who have accepted a baptismal date, so that they can progress and know that we are really thinking of them! It's like with our friends. If we talk to our friends once every 5 years, it's a bit hard to form a good friend-like relationship with them. But if we are talking to them constantly, getting to know them, and getting to know what their needs really are, we will be forming a good friend-like relationship...

Wow! Week 98! Pardon my bad typing this week. Sticky keyboards still bug me haha. this week was full of great experiences! Let me start with the first and most exciting. This Sunday, we had an investigator attending named Veronica. She'll be baptized in a few months after she can get married, but through a few visits we've made, and through keeping her committments, she's gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the church, and her family (members) is even happier! We had another investigator named Ropsaura who got to church on Sunday, but during the 2nd hour, Veronica invited her to move closer and sit by her! She shared her Gospel Principles book, and then when the class ended, Veronica said to Rosaura, "Let's go to the next class together?" and they both headed up and stayed during Relief Society! Later in teh night we visited Veronica, and she comented that Rosaura has a desire to keep learning and even mentioned her desire of being baptize...

This week has been pretty awesome! It started out with a pretty cool contact. We talked to a young man, and the conversation went something like this- us "This is the Book of Mormon, have you ever heard of it?" him "no, can I see it?" (we give it to him)     -to his mom he said "uhmmm. 2 mormons are ere looking for Estrella. (we were looking for his sister to teach) Can they come in for a minute?" his mom "no, she's not here" him "it'l just be a minute!" his mom "yeah ok" and we entered! We shared the Restoration and about the Book of Mormon. I know that as we testified of the Book of Mormon, it sparked his interest and helped him to feel a desire to hear about the gospel! Even if we just left a little seed, sometimes it's all that's necessary for someone to accept the gospel in the future! On Tuesday we found 2 new investigators as well! One was a former investigator who had 3 church attenda...

July 30, 2018 – Week 96, I think

Wow, right now I'm very tired. We finally had a zone P-Day after a transfer, and playing soccer and sports after 2 months really tired me out! Also, the sun decided to come out randomly in the middle of winter, and it got kinda hot, and I got a sunburn... So I'm just worn out everywhere! It'll be nice to finish P-Day sitting down for a bit haha. this week has had its ups and downs. Downs because we weren't able to find a ton of people to teach, and not many people accepted the invitation to be baptized or come to church. BUT it's been a really busy week of meetings and working with other elders as Well, so The downs aren't as big as the ups! This week was the week of multizone conferences! They were awesome experiences as always! I don't think in all my time in the mission I'Ve had a bad experience in a multizone conference! We also Were able to eat strawberries and cream for dessert, and for lunch we had sandwiches with turkey and ham and LETTU...
