July 9, 2018 – Week 93!

This week has been just amazing. I can first off testify that God answers prayers and God helps us to achieve our goals when we act on our faith and the answers we receive! We were teaching this week the sister and mother of a recent convert, and they both accepted baptismal dates! We also were able to give a priesthood blessing of health to the grandma who was recently back from the hospital because of a surgery she had on her femur bone (i think thats how it is in english). All in all, as we shared that day, and talked about baptism and the power of God on the earth that was restored, the spirit was present. Then a member and my companion shared their testimonies about baptism and how it helped them in their lives, and the spirit was so strong! It was spine tingling! We all may feel the spirit in different ways, but it's overall just a really good feeling. I know that the spirit was testifying to them as well as to us of the truth of these things! In the end, the sister Isab...

July 2, 2018 – Week 92!

Wow. I'm starting my last 12 weeks (now 11?) in the mission. HOW CRAZY! I still learn things every day, which is the most important. This week was a bit difficult in our sector for lack of new investigators, but it still wasn't terrible! I can't say that a week ever passes in the mission without a couple spiritual experiences. We were able to get some suggestions from the zone leaders at the end of the week as well, and their suggestions helped us receive 3+ new investigators! It was sucha  great experience having divisions with them. They are such a great example for me! As a district leader, I'm learning so much from them on how to be a better leader myself! I also learned that after a lot of time in the mission, one still needs to try new things and always be creative! Slowing down at the end of the mission doesn't jsut mean thinking of home a lot, but it also means not trying new things always! That's why dilligence and faith and creativity are necessar...

June 25, 2018 – Week 91!

Wow, week 91! Transfers tomorrow, and I'm 99.9% sure I'm not getting transfered, but my companion maybe! This week, even though it was a pretty full week, wasn't as grand of a week as usual, but it wasn't bad either! We jsut didn't find as many new investigators as normal and didn't have many coming to church. BUT, we know that this week will be even better! One of our new investigators we did have this week is named Liliana. She was a referral that came to our cellphone, and we went to visit her, and it was a great visit! She was contacted on the bus, and the elder that contacted her (I think Elder Golder), gave her a Book of Mormon! Well, she read all of the intro, and the testimonies of the 3, the 8, and that of Jospeh Smith all before the 1st lesson! She read a lot of that on the bus ride too! It was so cool to hear that! She remembered a lot of it too! We taught her about the Restoration of the Gospel, and she was really receptive! she accepted bap...

June 18, 2018 – Week 90!

Wow, 90? CRAZY! This week has been great! We've had a lot of meetings and a trip to the temple this week, so the time to proselyte wasn't as long, but it was still a great week! First off. Multizone conferences were this week! It was the last multi zone conference we'l be having with President and Sister Larson, because they finish their time this transfer! They are such great teachers. During this time in my mission, I've learned so much from them. they really are consecrated servants of the Lord. I'm very sure they will be blessed after these 3 years of service. I know that the Gospel prepares us for the future, and especially a full-time service helps us see things from different points of view that the world sometimes misses. I can't wait until Jesus Christ comes for a 2nd time. Spending a lifetime in the Lord's service is a great responsibility, but the joy that comes from it is amazing and unimaginable. Like the Apostle Jeffrey R. Holalnd said...

June 11, 2018 – Week 89!

This week has been one of the best!  First off, we had a meeting with Elder Gary E. Stevenson, along with the mission Lima South and the MTC. We had the meeting in the MTC here in Lima, so now I can say I've entered 2 different MTCs as a missionary! Haha. It was such a great meeting. Elder Falabella also talked a bit about church attendance and the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day holy, and helped us so that we could excite our investigators to come to church on sundays! Elder Stevenson also talked about how to plan and teach more effectively as a missionary. He told us that FIRST we should think of what invitation we'll be giving the investigator. Then, we have the think of the blessings we'll promise when they follow through and act on the invitation. We can promise blessings, and specific ones, as msisionaries and we shouldn't have a fear of doing it! Then we need to think of our testimonies, and about what we'll testify to our investigators. A testimon...
