June 18, 2018 – Week 90!

Wow, 90? CRAZY!

This week has been great! We've had a lot of meetings and a trip to the temple this week, so the time to proselyte wasn't as long, but it was still a great week!

First off. Multizone conferences were this week! It was the last multi zone conference we'l be having with President and Sister Larson, because they finish their time this transfer! They are such great teachers. During this time in my mission, I've learned so much from them. they really are consecrated servants of the Lord. I'm very sure they will be blessed after these 3 years of service. I know that the Gospel prepares us for the future, and especially a full-time service helps us see things from different points of view that the world sometimes misses. I can't wait until Jesus Christ comes for a 2nd time. Spending a lifetime in the Lord's service is a great responsibility, but the joy that comes from it is amazing and unimaginable. Like the Apostle Jeffrey R. Holalnd said, when we become servants of Jesus Christ, there is no going back. We are to "Leave behind our nets" and follow Christ. Forever. We are to be his disciples. Forever.  --- during the multizone conference, we learned to prepare Conrelious investigators by teaching commandments as part of each and every lesson. It's a bit harder, but with creativity and the spirit it's possible!

this week we also went to the temple. We got up at 3 AM to go, and had to be there by 6:40. It was worth the 4 hours of sleep for sure. I love going to the temple to learn more about our purpose in this life, and to learn of the blessings that God gives us here in our mortal experience! There will never be a more sacred place on earth than in the temple. I know that as we prepare ourselves and we go to the temple, we will be prepared to return to the presence of God for time and all eternity. We can receive peace, and answers to our questions as we attend the temple too. I invite all of you to attend the temple as soon as time permits. For those who aren't members of the church, my suggestion would be: Ask the missionaries, they can help you! (If you'd like missionaries to visit you, let me know!)

We've been teaching Jean Pierre this week too. He's a great young man! After 1 attendance more, he'll be able to be baptized! He has a stong desire. He may have doubts, but I know that the spirit wil testify to his mind as he asks God in prayer if what we've been teaching is true.

We also found and have taught a family of Venezuelans! They moved here a few months ago, and came to church this last Sunday after we invited them! We found them in front of the church as we walked, and one of them asked us if we were mormons. 3 of the family members are converts, and the other 2 aren't baptized yet. They are such a great family! the gospel will help them to bless their family even more! They've found peace and happiness in the church and as we have visited and shared with them, and I know they can feel that peace forever as they keep accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ!

I learned now that a food that those from North america usually dont like is the olive (aceituna). NOW I've found the food that Peruvians and Latinos haven't liked: Pickles! Not many know what a pickle is here, but I found a jar in Plaza Vea and I've been eating them, but only one of the 6 people from Peru that have tried them likes them! Haha it's funny to see the sour faces as they eat one. I love them though! Just a funny little story.

Well, that's about all for this week! It really has been such a spiritual week! There was also a baptism in the district this past Saturday! We've got a ton of people preparing for baptism in July! 6 with a baptismal date! Hope they all keep progresing towards baptism! It's a blessing really. There are many sons and daughters of God here in our sector that will be so blessed as they make these covenants with God! I'm excited for them and their families!

Hope you all have a great week this week!
