May 28, 2018 – Week 87!
This week has been really great!
We weren't able to find as many new investigators as normal this week, but it was still a great week! We've been working harder than ever, and we know that our service isn't going to waste! We may do all we can and people still may not always accept the gospel, but we can have the certainty that God is happy with the work we do!
This week I've learned about how exact obedience can bring blessings. Like the scripture says, "by small and simple things are great things come to pass" (Alma 37:6). Small acts of disobedience may even bring great loss of blessings, but on the other hand, as we DO the small and simple things that others may forget, great miracles come to pass. I can testify of that. My companion and I, for example, have put into practice the simple act of prayer in the street if we don't know where to go or who to visit. At least twice that I can remember, almost immediately after praying for guidance and direction, we were able to find people who were prepared to ehar the gospel, and some who were even looking to be baptized! I can't wait to visit them this week!
This weekend we also had a church open house in our ward. It was planned pretty fast, but the results were great! There was one family who came in, and they brought 7 other kids with them who were playing soccer together, and when my companion and I in the baptismal font room explained the baptism of Jesus to them, my companion asked "Who wants to be baptized like Jesus was?" and ALL of their hands shot up in the air as they said "me! me!" I'm hoping that we cacn teach them all this week! It will be such a miracle. There were many prepared individuals who entered into the church that day, and we'll be working as hard as we can to visit them and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them in a way that will bless them personally!
Well, I don't have a lot of time this week, so I'll be writing more next week. We had some intercambios and I've learned a lot from other missionaries and how they've worked, and I hope to apply it here in our sector too!
Hope you all have a great week this week!
