October 4, 2016 - I made it!

Elder Bruner will be at the Mexico City MTC (CCM) for 6 weeks, then he'll head to Peru to change the world!

 Here's his first email (edited):
I made it to the MTC. We have this time to send an email to parents only saying we made it. I am pretty nervous. I had an apple, and must've bit it wrong since my gums started bleeding. I heard that you will get sick (the runs) from having the beans, but it only lasts a little bit. I just don't like hearing all that.

I didn't sleep on the plane, but I did barely on the bus ride to the MTC. I wish I had put tums in my shoulder bag because I think I need them a bit. The plane ride was a bit hard, but I made it through.

It is very warm here and humid in Mexico. I'll need to drink lots of water.

We don't have p-day this week, but my p-day will be on Thursday while I'm in the MTC. 

I hope to hear from you all, and I'm just praying to be able to make it through.

This week has been great as always! Not too much happened, but I've felt the spirit every day, and I just love it! Last p-day after emailing, we had a miracle for lunch. We went to Papa John's for pizza, and normally, one large pizza with some drinks and other things included is 40 soles. Well, we got there, and a member was working. Returned missionary too. He had only been back for about a year. We asked about the deal that we had seen, and he made us a special missionary offer. We got 4 pizzas (any pizza, specialty or not, didn't matter) for a total of 54 SOLES, which is like $15! Crazy good deal. We each got a pizza to ourselves (8 slices). We were lead by the spirit to go there for lunch... haha. Idk if that was the spirit or just luck that time. Either way, awesome!       ---   We also disinfected our bathroom last p-day, because it was starting to get dirty again. Clorox on the floor and shower and everywhere, and just mopped everything. January 2, 2016 - Happy New Year!

I can't believe that this week will mark 3 months in the mission! Time seems to go faster in the mission field for sure. New Year's was crazy. More fireworks for a solid 15 minutes starting at midnight than on Christmas, I've been a bit sick with congestion this past week, so it was easier to just forget about the fireworks and fall asleep after getting used to them for like 5 minutes. This week we did lots of contacting. We had some lessons, but the majority of the time was walking around talking to people. It's sometimes a bit hard to just start talking, but once you start, it's a lot easier. We also are trying to contact more families as a mission, especially during this season of Christmas and New Years. We had transfers this past week, and some new elders came into our Zone! February 13, 2017 – Week 20!

This week has been awesome, and a little difficult, but more awesome! The difficult part was that we had transfers, and Elder de Arce left. My trainer left me... That was kinda sad.   I didn't think it'd be so hard, but we were pretty close as companions! The good news is... my new companion is great too! Elder Trujillo is my new companion, also from Argentina (Santa Cruz), and he's 24 years old. He likes drawing as well, and also plays the guitar! Although he forgot a bit since he's been in the mission for 15 months, it sounds like he's pretty good! Leading around this week has been a little difficult, but it's great preparation for the future if I have to train a new missionary or lead another missionary around as a senior companion! It's gotten easier each day. Now the awesome parts. We had a baptism this past Saturday! We baptized hermana Mayra, and her testimony she gave afterwards was great.
