Hey everyone! This week has been great. The weeks seem to get better and better here. Lots of inspirational scriptures shared this week, and lots of things to boost motivation to stay on a mission for sure! We had spoken a lot of english, and our maestro (teacher) said that we needed to work on speaking more Spanish. He said we were progressing great, but we needed to work on that more, and so we decided yesterday to have an English fast, and we spoke Spanish pretty much all day. It got tiring, but it was a good taste of what we'll be doing in just a couple weeks in the mission field!
First funny story from the week: We were playing cage soccer, and someone got hit really hard with the ball when Elder Hobbs kicked it. Long story short, you know when an Elder is really in pain when he falls to the ground crying, and then jokes are made about "protect your children and stay away from Elder Hobbs." The elder that got hit just said "it hurts so bad but it is so funny." Glad he had a good attitude about it, even though it did look very painful.
This past Sunday, nobody had to speak like we thought we might because Elder and Sister Call (of the CCM presidency) spoke to us. Also, that sunday, we heard the phrase "leave your family for two years to help other people hhave eternal families" at least 2 or 3 times. It's pretty important. We really are here as missionaries to help people have eternal families and be happy forever. That night, my companion played the piano for the devotional and I lead the music. It was a bit nervewracking at first because there were so many people, but it went well. It was funny because everyone sang a good 2 seconds after the piano played the notes, so everyone was delayed and it was hard to play and conduct, haha. Funny story from that day: One of the MTC presidency told us during priesthood meeting that if we married a returned sister missionary, she'd take us to heaven even if we didn't want to. He was speaking from experience haha.
I've been practicing drawing some more, but only in the few spare minutes I've had. We welcomed the new missionaries in our district, and I did a little drawing for them of Jesus, but it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. That's ok though, I have two years to practice!
This past Tuesday, we had a devotional by Elder Helamán Montejo (or Mantejo) who is in the 4th Quorum of the 70. It was really good. He shared experienced, and we got 3 pieces of advice. Summed up, they are 1. Never underestimate your capacity to do good 2. Trust in your companion 3. Sometimes we need to "leave the line" and not look back.
Our practice investigator lessons with our teacher yesterday was probably the best one yet! My companion and I felt the spirit, and our teacher acting as an investigator was smiling a lot, which is a great sign. I shared a scripture (3rd Nephi 13: 31-33) with her because she said she had work on Sunday, and at the end, she said that it was the exact same scripture she shared on her mission to the investigator she was acting as! I had read the scripture only 20 minutes before thanks to a printed group email from my friend Matias. Pretty cool to see how the spirit shared things with us and brings things to our minds in the perfect moment! It's those types of lessons that really get me excited to go share the gospel with others for real!
Today is an actual P-Day for us, with no temple trip, so it'll be fun! Full day planned!
Hope you all are doing well!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Bruner

Today was a great p day. We played lots of basketball, volleyball, and cage soccer (we played soccer with a person from the BYU team who played the academy soccer for RSL.) It was really fun! We went back and forth a lot to our dorms since we needed to be in our church clothes for meals, but it was an awesome day. Nice to get out. I am getting pretty good at defending in cage soccer!
