This week has been pretty good!
It was a big week of meetings this week.
On Tuesday we had our interviews with President. The interviews always go well! We learn lots, and always receive suggestions to help in our sectors and in our companionships!
Wednesday we had our district meeting, and it was focused lots on contacting. It was a good focus, because contacting is something we can always get better with! We did lots of practices, and we contacted almost everyone in our district so that we could find better ways to contact in our every day work!
Thursday was interesting because Elder Carbajal had his autosuficiencia (autosufficience?) training. It's for all the elders that are finishing their missions this transfer. So I was grouped up with two other elders and we went to work in a sector. The sector we went to wwaaassssss....... CALLAO! We went to a sector in Callao called Heros, and it seemed like a calmer part of Callao. Nothing crazy happened to us there. It was the sector of one of the 2 elders I was with, so he knew his way around. Lots of people there say hi to the missionaries though. LOTS. It's pretty cool. It would be cool to serve in that sector one day.
This week we had 2 new investigators. Not as many as last week, but it still is ok! The problem is that it is always hard to have the second lesson. They don't have time, or they aren't there, and if we have the second lesson, they hadn't read etc. Normal things that go on in the mission. Learning experiences for us too! Now we know that we need to improve on our commitments, and maybe we need to work on having shorter lessons so that they will be more willing to have the second and third lessons!
We also did a contacting activity this week where we had to knock doors and contact around the church. We knocked over 20 doors, and it resulted in about 13 contacts! Not tons, but the contacts were good, and we now have plans to visit some of them this week! It's easy to contact by the church and invite them to the church that's across the street from their houses haha. Contacting is always necessary in the mission.
I surely missed stuff, but it's ok. This week was good, and as always, we are working to encontrar, esneñar, y bautizar! The mission work is moving along!
Thanks always for your prayers and for your emails! I hope you all are doing well!
