March 20, 2017 – Week 25!

This week, as always, has been pretty great! I've been doing great as a 19 year old haha.

To start off. Yes I'm safe right now. There has been some flooding in Peru recently because of the crazy rain up north, but most of the places affected are outside of our mission. Some missionaries have only had their water cut because of the cities that are cutting water, but nothing too bad! We are all protected and it's a blessing!

We have had a little bit of opportunity to do service because of the events though! We helped some families carry water from a water truck to their houses, and then left them a contact card when we helped them! It's always a great thing to do service. So nice to help others!

Last p day, we went to Miraflores and rented some bikes for an hour after eating at an all-you-can-eat buffet called My Home. It was pretty good! The biking was awesome. So nice to ride a bike after 5+ months of not being able to! The views were great too. I'll be including pictures for sure.

We also visited the limits of our sector this week to go contacting. It's interesting to go to places on the mapp that are less visited, and awesome too see what we've been missing! We knocked on a few doors, and found one new person to teach so far. We'll be going back to do more this week.

We also had a meeting with Elder Montoya of the 70. It was a great meeting, and he taught us lots of things that we can do to improve our lives every day! President and Sister Larson also spoke, and explained that we are on a journey like the family of Nephi. It really was a great connection!

We have been having lessons with an investigator named Danny. It's really awesome to go and teach him because he really is progressing and has a desire to learn more and come to church! I know that the gospel will bless his life because of the desire he has to follow Jesus Christ!

On Sunday we also had a couple investigators come to church! One is an Atheist, and his wife is Catholic. They both are great, and both have great comments too! I hope we have some opportunities to teach them more, because our first visit was a short one where we just got to know them and their situation a bit better.

We've also had contact with some families in 7 de Junio this week! Glad we've been able to have lessons there, and I know that we can really help more families in that area as we visit them!

I hope you all are having a great week!

Con mucho amor como siempre,
