July 24, 2017 – Week 43!

Wow, so this week was full of interesting stuff. I'll have to summarize.

Tuesday was a normal day. We went to work and foor lunch I tried Mazamorra de Calabaza for the first time! It had an interesting flavor! Not bad! We tracted like normal, and contacted as well. We then visited a less active member. We are focusing lots in the less actives, because many times they'll have references for us! Or possibly they'll have family members who aren't baptized who we can teach as well! It was the bishop's birthday too, so they didn't play soccer that day. At night we ate at a place called Don Lino. As we bought our chicken, they asked if we were from the "LDS House" (casa SUD) in front of the park, 3rd floor... o_o they know where we live. Haha I guess missionaries have ordered delivery lots from that place!

On Wednesday we had our district meeting, and we did a lot of walking that day because our appointments fell through. We got some contacts that day though!

Thursday is when it got interesting. We woke up early to go to the offices for Elder Carbaja's final interview with President and for his English test. I was there waiting when I got a call from the Assistants to the president. They said there was some good news! They then told me that I'll be training a new missionary this next transfer! Aaaahhhhh I'm nervous haha. That got me thinking so much. In these past few days I've been studying the 1st 12 weeks programand everything I'll be using to train the new Elder. I hope I do well! I'll be praying lots and I just know that being his best friend will help out in any situation!    Elder Carbajal also wrote his name on a huge piece of material that Hna Larson is gonna have all missionaries that serve with them sign. then Elder de Arce showed up and we talked and took a pic together and then we left. That night we played soccer with the ward too. It was fun! Even more fun when I played against Elder Carbajal and performed a Wacha against him! (when you kick the ball through their legs).

On friday I had my little training meeting with President and his Assistants and the other Elders who'd be training for the 1st time. It was good! We then planned for the week afterwards and had a normal work day. Elder Uceda from the 70 was at the church giving a fireside to the youth, so we stopped by and peeked our heads in to see him. Cool! Didn't get any pics though haha.

Saturday was our work day, and we found 5 new investigators! Contacting old investigators and passing by for the appointments we had helped to get them! I hope we'll have some progressing from those 5!

On Sunday we went to church and then ate lunch and then had divisions so Elder Carbajal could visit his converts. I was with Elder Luna, who was finishing his training. He seemed like amissionary who'd been out a year already! I saw that as hope, and I hope that my training will help mynew companion be as ready as Elder Luna!

P day today! We'll be visiting the center of Lima.

Wow this week was full spiritually, and a little tiring, and next week will probably be even more tiring, but that's what the guidance from the spirit is for! I know God answers our prayers, and if we need help, we just need to ask!

I hope you all have a great week this week!
