May 22, 2017 – Week 34! 1/3rd Done!
Wow. This week is exactly one third of my mission. HOW CRAZY!
This week was pretty great. We had 4 new investigators, and 4 that came to church as well! We hope that the new investigators we found will be able to progress!
The baptism of our investigator was postponed for some extra preparation, but we're still working lots with him! I know the spirit has brought miracles in his life, and that he's gonna keep preparing for baptism!
This week I finally tasted Kui for the first time! The meat was really good, but the skin was a bit difficult for me to eat. I tried but just couldn’t eat the rubbery skin. The meat was great though. Small portion but good tasting! It was like a mix taste of beef, chicken, and fish. idk how to explain it. its a game meat taste.
We've been in contact with an investigator of ours named Grecia. She's really interested and I feel like she'll be able to progress lots in the gospel. The issue with teaching is time. She has lots of work and schooling, like many, so hopefully we'll be able to find the time to teach her and have her come to church with us!
Also, Valentina and Rousse and their dad came to church this week! The dad had to leave after the 1st hour, but the 2 daughters stayed for the full 3 hours! I know that they have great testimonies, and I feel like they’ll be the ones to help their family and help the family progress! They’re awesome, and you can just see the spirit shining in their eyes.
The gospel really helps people in their lives. This Sunday I gave a talk on the gifts of the spirit, and how each one of us has at least one gift of the spirit, if not more than one, and that we can develop more gifts as we work and ask for them during our lives. I know this is true. I love studying and searching for the gifts of the spirit that i have and am able to use to bless the lvies of others. I invite all of you to search the scriptures, Moroni 10 in the book of mormon, and also in chapter 4 of preach my gospel for those that have it, and look for the gifts of the spirit that you have. Its a great experience!
Oh yeah, another lesson learned this week. Don’t pet stray cats. They get to like you, and then they sit on your lap in internet cafes and they don’t wanna get off your lap for any reason. Then you have to get something shiny like a candy wrapper to get them to move, and then tilt your legs so they jump off your legs and leave... Not like I've had experience with this or anything...
I hope you all have a great week! Keep reading the scriptures and praying and going to church and having family home evening and doing everything you can to strengthen your testimony and strength in the gospel ofJjesus Christ!
Con mucho amor, una cosa que siempre voy a decirles, y una cosa que es verdadera,
