November 27, 2017 – Week 61!

This week has been great! And it's had it's sad parts.

Let's start off with the sad to end off with happy. I LOST MY PLAQUE (name tag)!!! I think it fell off in a MotoTaxi, but oh well, I'll get a new one soon!

We've been working lots this week with a member whose name is Renato. Well, now he's an Elder because he leaves for the misison tomorrow, but we were able to work with him to help him prepare! We also worked with another young adult in our ward named Jonathan who just received his mission call to Cancun Mexico! It's so crazy to see people getting their mission calls. It brings back good memories and it makes me think of how great of a blessing being on a mission really is. It's so awesome to share the gospel with so many people each week and to see how the gospel blesses their lives! It really is a gospel that brings eternal peace and happiness into the lives of people.

We've also started using the #LifghtTheWorld initiative this week. There are so many people who accept our visits thanks to the message of Christmas that we are sharing. It just shows that in the Christmas season, people are even more willing to hear about the gospel of Jesus Christ! I love it, and we all need to take advantage of this great time to share the gospel with others! The initiative is a really great way to know how to do servicce and be more like the Savior. If you don't know much about the initiative, I invite you to go to Mormon.org and look at the videos, take some ideas, and apply them to help others! Share the videos with friend and family too so that the world can see and participate in the spirit of Christmas!

Funny experience. On Wednesday after the district meeting, some guy in a combi bus shouted "ELDER" and then we all looked. He laughed and said "haha they all looked (jaja todos voltearon)" and then told the driver to accelerate and leave. It was great haha.

I also almost fell out of a MotoTaxi this week because the driver started going forward and I wasn't all the way in. It's because I'm tall and I can't get in as fast haha. Oh well, I'm safe! Nothing bad happened.

We also have been teaching the dad of one of our investigators (Any, like Annie). His name is Ruben. He knows lots about the Bible, so it's pretty easy to teach abot the gospel! He's interested in knowing more about the Book of Mormon, so I hope we can keep visiting him and helping him learn more!

Yesterday was great too. We had some good visits with investigators, and we were also visitng some recent converts because it's possible that my companion has transfers tomorrow. The transfer season has come. It'll be interesting and exciting to see what comes from it!

Well, I hope you all have had a great week, and are having a great time preparing for Christmas! Keep enjoying turkey for me, because here it's expensive! I'll be having a great Chicken for Christmas I'm sure!

Have a great week!

Tokkush. Something I ate a little of. It's literally putrid potato that has been sitting by a river for so long that it's fermented or rotted or something. It smells like Donkey but tastes a little like sweet garbage.. Yep, it leaves your breath smelling terrible. I tasted it once and never more haha!
