May 5, 2018 – Week 84!
Good week this week!
We've still been working with Milagros, and she's still progressing and reading her Book of Mormon! I can't wait because soon she'll be receiving the blessings of the gospel in her life. Hopefully there aren't too many obstacles. She wasn't able to come to church on Sunday, but she still wants to come. She's been praying to receive her answer, or a more firm answer about the things she's been able to learn. I know that the Spirit will help her feel that the gospel is true, even if it's in the Lord's time, it'll come to her! Th young women are her friends, which is great! Having a friend in the church is the best way to help someone understand more about the gospel and feel comfortable too! I repeat it a lot because it's true!
We also have been able to go out teaching with one of our recent converts this week too! Brando. He's come with us toa few appointments with Milagros, and he also presented to us his aunt, who lives just around the corner from where we live! Hopefully we will be able to find her to teach her (because when we went last, she wasn't home)! Member referrals are something special here, and we love to receive them!
We also had our multi-zone conference this week. We learned a lot about how to improve our teaching. We also learned how to work even better with the members in our ward. I kinda wish I could've learned these things at the start of my mission, and not so late, but times change and we can't learn everything in 2 years, so I'll just be applying what we learned from here on out! President Larson only has one transfer left, so I'm learning all I can from him and Sister Larson. I'm ready to learn even more from our next mission presidents too! They seem like awesome, humble, and dedicated servants of God :)
We also have been visiting Evelyn this week. She's reading her Book of Mormon and her daughter is sometimes too. She's been coming to church for the past 3 weeks now, and she wants to be baptized, but first needs to get married. Plans are being made, but a bit of time will be required first. We're hoping for a miracle so that they'll be able to get married in May! They're a great family.
I realized that I've been on a mission for 19 months. Kinda crazy. There are days where I wish time would just pass slower because I love serving the Lord, and there's just not enough time to find and teach everyone!
Also, happy 5 de Mayo! It's not celebrated here, but it's a holiday!
Also also, it's hard to get change for a s/.100 bill here in some stores. Coins are best to have. Kinda random fact for you if you like to talk about money :P
I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I'm glad to have been able to share my testimony this last fast and testimony meeting! I hope the love of the gospel can be spread throughout the world, because really everyone needs to hear about this grand plan that God has for each of us: His children!
Well, that's my week. Hope you all have a great week too!
